Great effect! Skin care based on Indian Ayurveda

I think you might have heard the word of “Ayurveda” from somewhere. Ayurveda is the traditional medicine which is called knowledge of life or chemistry of life.

This is the knowledge for living healthfully in both mind and body based on knowing the psychosomatic state by our own. Ayurveda is very helpful for beauty, too.

In Japan, Ayurveda is incorporated into beauty treatment as Indian beauty method, not medicine. It is said that “All illness comes from the mind”. Both mind and body are related to health. Furthermore, mind and beauty are also related as appearing skin roughness when we get stressed.

In this article, I’d like to introduce the Ayurveda skin care which is stress-free for mind and skin. We can become beautiful with safe and natural way without depending strong chemical products!

1. Eating influences skin

Foods and drinks influence to body health and skin directly. Avoid over eating, eat small amount and chewing well.

In both traditional medicine and Ayurveda medicine, there is a statement that taking nuts, seeds, omega 3, unsaturated fatty acid, and dietary fiber can make skin condition better.

Especially, all vegetables, almond, avocado, salmon, tomato, pomegranate are good nutrient foods for skin. You should proactively take them.

2. Take a lot of water

Taking a lot of water hydrate body and keep moisture. If you put out some refreshing herb such as mint, your skin can appear much healthy. I recommend doing it.

3. Limit spicy foods

If you are concerned about pimples, you should avoid strong spices as much as you can.

Holy basil(also known as: tulsi, Japanese: kamimebouki ) is the medical herb in Ayurveda. It is effective in bacteria-killing activity. Your pimples would be better if you put squeeze of it.

4. Peel your skin with homemade scrub

Use soap-free facial cleanser or body soap to remove dirt part of your skin without skin dryness. It is better to avoid the products containing chemical ingredients.

Try to mix almond powder, oatmeal, milk, yoghurt, and squeeze of lemon into paste. Massage your skin with it gently. It can peel and moisturize your skin.

5. Homemade moisturizer

Make moisturizing mask. Mix a table spoon of yoghurt, lemon juice, and orange juice. Apply it to your skin and leave it for while. Rinse it off before dry.

6. Honey

Add honey into facial cream. Apply it to your skin and leave it for 5 minutes. Wipe it off with wet cotton ball. Honey has the effects of bacteria-killing activity, moisturizing, eliminating spots.

7. Potato

Rub the pigmented or dark colored areas on your skin with sliced raw potato in circulation way. Your skin would become lighter.

If you don’t like the smell of potato, you can use orange juice.

8. Sleeping

Sleeping is the most basic of beauty. If you have luck of sleep, you would get skin roughness, pimples, or wrinkles. Your skin would become much worse by stress, too. To avoid this situation, you should take enough sleeping to release your stress.

9. Oil

Use aroma oils or medical herbs for Ayurveda for massaging your skin. As it has the effect of relaxation, it can treat your skin and tiredness.
